Expanding Astronomy Access for Blind and Low Vision Learners

We are thrilled to share some exciting updates about our ongoing project to make astronomy accessible to blind and low vision (BLV) individuals! This initiative is part of Astronomy for Equity’s commitment to ensuring that the wonders of the night sky are within reach of everyone.

Join in!

We’re just getting started, and there are plenty of opportunities to join us in this important work! Here’s how you can contribute:

  • Share Ideas: Do you have experience doing astronomy outreach with people who are blind or have low vision? Have you created resources? Join the conversation in our community hub on Slack and share your experience, tips, and resources.
  • Are you in an astronomy outreach group that would like to learn to include BLV in your programs? Join to learn, work with others, and share your experiences.
  • Spread the Word: Let others know they can join in and help bring astronomy to everyone.
  • Volunteer to help moderate and keep the conversation going in the community hub. We need people everywhere to help cover the world. Email [email protected].
