Telescopes have arrived in Ukraine!

In the face of adversity, the resilience and tenacity of Ukraine’s students now shine brighter than ever.

Three telescopes have arrived at the schools of astronomy students in Ukraine who requested them to take advantage of skies darkened when the power grids are targeted by missiles, providing a glimmer of hope in the night sky thanks to the generous donors who made the gift of these telescopes possible.

Along with augmenting their science studies, exploring the Universe provides a welcome respite from the war and a sense of being part of something greater. Knowing the telescopes have been gifted to them by other caring people around the world will help relieve the isolation they feel. They’ll know each time they view the stars we all see that they are not alone.

Communication has been difficult but we hope to have more photos to share from the three schools soon.

Thanks to all who donated to this crowdfunding campaign!
