DIY Projects and Activities
Hi everyone! Let's talk DIY accessible astronomy!
I personally love DIY projects, especially when they are STEM-focused (particularly astronomy). There are so many online resources that provide a wide range of projects and tools to the public for free.
Provided below is a list of a few websites I like to browse when looking for a fun, educational activity.

Now, the question is: how can we make exploring the cosmos more hands-on and accessible for blind and low-vision (BLV) stargazers through DIY projects?
Whether itβs 3D-printed maps or tactile star charts, Iβd love to hear your ideas, experiences, or favourite DIY tools for multi-sensory astronomy.

BLV folks can listen to light curves of dozens of different kinds of variable and transient objects (binary stars, RR Lyr, pulsars, black holes, supernovae) at the SDU project site https://lweb.cfa.harvard.edu/sdu Explanations of everything is provided (accessible to screen readers too), along with a glossary of terms!
Paul GreenΒ Thank you, Paul! That's incredible. Thanks for sharing π
