Nathan Wu
Nathan Wu is a student at Phillips Academy with a passion for astronomy. Working closely with teachers and peers at his school, Nathan helped determine the rotational period of asteroid 7605 Cindygraber and is assembling and commissioning a small spectrograph for the school observatory. Beyond astronomy, he is also passionate about history and believes that history and science together allow the past to inform the present and give hope to the future, having conducted research on the history of his school’s observatory and the epistemological colonization of Traditional Chinese Medicine in America. Outside of class, he is interested in astrophotography, telescope making and is an illustrator and graphic designer for his school newspaper and merchandise. He also spends time tutoring humanities and STEM subjects.
Through Astro4Equity, Nathan combines his interests in astronomy and art to help make the wonders of the night sky more accessible to students with limited exposure to the subject.
